comes another holiday
flood me with memories
significance of life, death
wars, history
cemeteries, graves to be found
graves no where to be found
lives today affected by the past
our past remembered
on the heels of living today
with the ghosts of our people
and the bones gravity won’t let go of

Your writing is always like opening a gift on Christmas morning. I come away richer for having read your writings.

Thank you for that Eileen. It’s hard enough to revisit times in our lives. I do it constantly and then, for a reason I don’t know what, out come some words to go with it.
